Ms. Carroll is a native of Warrenton, North Carolina. She earned a BSN degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, graduating cum laude. She received her midwifery certification and MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina before joining the staff of Women's Health Alliance, p.k.a. Durham Women's Clinic in 1994. Since that time, she has completed a post master's certificate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is board certified as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
