Chapel Hill Obstetrics and Gynecology
About us...

Chapel Hill Obstetrics and Gynecology has a proud history of serving the medical needs of the Triangle and beyond for over thirty years. Since its founding in 1971 by Dr. William A. Nebel, we have strived to provide quality care and place ourselves on the forefront of medical innovation. For example, in conjunction with Genecare we were one of the first practices in North Carolina to provide amniocentesis. We also regularly participate in clinical trials in conjunction with Carolina Research Foundation.

Dr. Richard Lassiter joined Dr. Nebel later in 1971. Following him were Drs. Michael Fried (1977), John Lane (1980 - 2006), Vivian Clark (1986), Pat Chappell (1989), Karen Clark (1997) and Joshua Hardison (2006). Our nurse practitioner, Melinda Everett, joined in 2000.

Chapel Hill Obstetrics and Gynecology has been part of the Women's Health Alliance since 1999. The purpose of this alliance is to unite the member groups in achieving a greater voice with managed care companies and others who make decisions that affect the relationship between you and your healthcare provider. The Durham Women's Clinic, Capital Area OB/GYN and Cary OB/GYN are our partners in this mission.

We endeavor to meet the unique needs of each patient in our practice. Our patients come from a wide area, including Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, as well as outlying communities and southern Virginia. We will do our best to meet your healthcare needs.
